My name is Maricris Dionisio, Co- founder and the Music director of Mat Music Online. a Filipino saxophonist who humbly started her music career at an early age in a local Marching Band. Clarinet is her first instrument but when she entered high school she started to learn saxophone where she got a lot of opportunities that brought her to pursue her  passion as a saxophone player.

 

When she got into college, she started her formal lesson at University of the Philippines, College of Music where she studied and trained well under the professionalism of Michael Mark Guevarra ( faculty from the UP College of Music and well-known saxophone player in the Philippines ) and graduated Certificate in Music and currently taking Diploma in Creative Performing Musical Art in Saxophone.

 

She is a member of University of the Philippines Symphonic Band, UP ROTC Symphonic Band, Project 201 Big Band and Jazz One Big Band. She also got invited in other groups and music events where she got a chance to collaborate with great musicians and she is doing private lessons.

 

Through her studies and experiences she got an opportunity to work abroad in South Korea as a professional musician and now she is currently teaching saxophone online.
